Not Only Lucky People Get Rich
In his book The Science of Getting Rich, Wallace Wattles writes, "Talented people get rich, and blockheads get rich. Intellectually brilliant people get rich, and very stupid people get rich." He certainly was pretty up front about no one group of people having a corner on the market for getting rich. With one exception. So is there a so called secret that only the rich use? So what does it take?
I know some friends and acquaintances who really aren't packing a full sea bag who are rich. It certainly wasn't their brains that got them rich. So what was it? Wallace goes on to say that, "Getting rich is the result of doing things in a certain way". And it really doesn't matter what business you're in. If someone else has gotten rich in that profession, so can you. Have you noticed that you may have two similar stores in town. They both cater to the same type of customers, but one grows and one doesn't. In our case it was a lumber yard. One recently went out of business and the other is thriving.
It all has to do with doing things in a certain way. Take some time today to think of whom you know who has done well and succeeded in an area of their choosing. What businesses are thriving where others are failing. Give some thought to what each is doing and isn't doing. Just start thinking about it. Let us know what you come up with.
