Maybe You Aren't Creating the Right Pictures
So why is it so hard to start something that you know you should do? You've been talking about losing a couple of pounds and there is always that internet site you want to build to make some extra income. So why haven't you done any of it? Are you the All-Talk-No-Action kind of person? Okay, I have to admit I am sometimes and especially in the areas where I need the most work. I admit I want to shed a few pounds and get back into shape, so what’s it going to take? How did I do it before?
I read a book called Body for Life by Bill Philips and followed his program. I'd tried other programs but they didn't work. Why did this program do it for me? I didn't really understand why until I became a student of “The Science of Getting Rich” by Wallace Wattles. He writes “I must hold this picture in my thoughts with the fixed purpose to get what I want, and the unwavering faith that I will get what I want.”
You see I couldn't visualize myself at the weight I wanted to be at. As hard as I tried I just couldn't do it. So as I paged through the Body for Life Journal, they showed success stories, lots of them. They showed people when they were fat and 12 weeks later when they were in shape. They looked like real people no different from me. So as I paged through I picked someone who looked like the shape I was in and saw an end result. That’s all I needed.
Before this nothing worked. I wanted to lose those pounds but this visualization changed the way I looked at my problem. I changed instantaneously. My body was still overweight but my mind was in shape. It didn't take long for my body to catch up with the body in my mind. It was as easy as switching that light switch once I figured it out.
So what’s it going to take for you to start the internet site or lose those pounds or whatever your goal is?
